Granogi Festival ================

If you’ve recently thought about how out of sync you feel with the universe, or that your tree pose really needs some improving, we’ve got the perfect solution. Find peace, some inner balance, and maybe challenge your limiting beliefs at this year’s First Annual Outdoor Yoga Festival.

Granogi? It sounds like a pasta made out of breakfast cereal, but rest assured, this is a legit Yoga festival jam-packed with a ton of activities to ensure you experience all the feels with a built-in circle of like-minded friends. Festivities include a myriad of yoga and meditation classes for all practice levels, health and wellness clinics, adventure and camping gear product demos, food and music. For kids, the Granogi Kids Village offers yoga and earth education.

A percentage of ticket sales go to charity, so you can feel extra good about the whole thing. To sweeten the deal, they’re currently running a coupon on KSL Deals to save $10. Ready to hone your Lotus pose?

Adventure+Gear Festival

Need an excuse to go up to gorgeous Snowbird Resort? Probably not, but here’s one anyway. Snowbird is hosting a massive outdoor gear festival called Adventure+Gear Fest. True to its name, you can spend the weekend in pure outdoor gear and adventure bliss. Here’s a little taste of what you can do: mountain bike, slackline, fly fishing demos, frisbee golf, climbing wall, guided hikes, and even a nighttime 5k trail run.

With over 80 outdoor gear vendors, 25 fun activities and events, and a film festival to boot, you might as well just find a camp spot nearby because you ain’t leavin’ anytime soon. There’s enough to satisfy even the most hardcore gear head. And the best part is that the admission is FREE. It costs you nothing. Although, we can’t be held responsible for all the gear you buy. That’s on you.

Deer Valley Music Festival ==========================

This one’s for music lovers. Combine magical mountain views with warm summer evenings out on the lawn, add the melodious sounds of the Utah Symphony, mixed with the Utah Opera, and what do you get? The Deer Valley Music Festival! Load up your brood along with some lawn chairs and a blanket, and maybe some snacks, and head up to Deer Valley Resort, where no one cares if you snowboard or ski. There’s no discrimination during summer, and there’s a little bit of everything for even the most discriminating music tastes.

Running for five weeks throughout July and August, this year’s festival features guest performers including The Beach Boys, Diana Krall and Ben Folds, to name a few, and provides an eclectic range of music genres from the likes of Prince to Harry Potter’s Sorcerer’s Stone to Disney. Get your groove on whichever way you do it.

Utah Arts Festival ==================

Come for the art, stay for the music, the food, the workshops, and the movies. The Utah Arts Festival is arguably one of the most popular festivals of the year, and for good reason. Spend your day consuming art in a variety of ways, from performing arts, to visual arts, to literary arts to film. There’s an entire kids festival where kiddos can bop around, get their hands dirty, get their face painted, stimulate their imagination, and basically just act like a kid.

When you fee like you can’t possibly experience any more art, grab some ridiculously good street food at one of the many food vendors, grab a seat by a stage, and take in some tunes. This year’s Art Festival will give you major sensory overload (in a good way).

See who’s headlining and get the festival schedule here.

Salt Lake City Greek Festival =============================

OPA! Bring on the Saganaki, Baklava and Loukoumades. The Greek Festival in downtown Salt Lake City is back this September with its astonishing 42nd festival, and has become a festival favorite for many Utahns. It’s put on by the Greek Orthodox Church and brings in about 50,00 attendees each year, making you wonder how it’s even possible to produce that many Loukomades to satisfy 50,000 mouths. (For those of you not in the know, Loukamades is sweet, fried dough, and it’s delicious).

The food is more than enough to get you in the door, but once in, you’re quickly immersed into a whole world of Greek culture.

See traditional folk dances and get to know the rich tradition and history of the Greek community in the area (in between trips for more Loukoumades, of course). And, the money goes to good causes. Beyond the amazing meal and cultural experience, proceeds from the festival go to many different charity organizations throughout the community.
