5-year-old hospitalized after auto-pedestrian accident in Box Elder County

WILLARD, Box Elder County — A five-year-old was hospitalized in stable condition after an auto-pedestrian accident in Box Elder County Thursday evening, police confirmed.

Shortly after 5 p.m., Box Elder Dispatch received a call of an auto-pedestrian accident at 104 W. 100 South. Willard County police said a 5-year-old child was sitting on a skateboard in a driveway. Police said the driver of a vehicle did not see the child, pulled forward and ran over the child.

Police said the child was transported to Brigham City Hospital and later airlifted to Primary Children's Hospital for further treatment and observation in stable condition.
