HILL AIR FORCE BASE — A civilian employee is dead after a motorcycle crash on Hill Air Force Base Tuesday morning, police said.

The crash happened at about 5:40 a.m. near the West Gate of the base, according to Hill Air Force Base public affairs official Barbara Fisher.

No other information about the crash was immediately released, including the name of the civilian employee killed. Fisher said the crash remains under investigation.

"My heart goes out to the families and friends of everyone involved in this morning's accident," said Col. Jennifer Hammerstedt, 75th Air Base Wing commander, in a prepared statement.

More information will be added as soon as it is made available.
