AMERICAN FORK — Sometimes you've just got to hide in your pantry with some Red Vines to get away from it all.

If you're a parent, however, you probably know it's not always that easy. An American Fork mother of quadruplet daughters, certainly understands. In a video that's too real for anyone who's tried to take a moment to breathe, only to be interrupted by kids, Gardner sums up motherhood in 34 seconds from the confines of her pantry.

"Dad's out shoveling the driveway," she says in the video. "Mom desperately needed a treat to get through the rest of the night, so I'm hiding in the pantry."

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

With four 2-year-olds at home, anyone would need a treat and a relaxing few minutes alone in the pantry.

Indie, Esme, Scarlett and Evangeline Gardner are two sets of identical twins who were born Dec. 28, 2014, when the Gardner family tripled in size in one afternoon. Since then, it's been a "complete whirlwind" for the family. They were featured on the TLC show "Rattled," and currently have almost 100,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel.

Tyson and Ashley Gardner previously told KSL.com about how they stay efficient when taking care of four toddlers at once.

"We take turns," their father said. "We definitely take turns. Having quadruplets is a lot of work. You've got to each put in equal time. Not one of us changes more diapers than the other, not one of us does more laundry or more feedings. We split it equally."

That efficiency system seems to be working out well for the family one year later. Sometimes taking turns means Mom grabs a snack while Dad shovels the driveway.

Unfortunately, little kids don't usually understand when parents need a break. It's both adorable and oh so relatable when Ashley Gardner turns around to show her daughter peeking under the door of her little pantry haven.

The video will make you smile, but more importantly it will help you feel less alone next time you want to hide from your kids for a few minutes.
