Dancing and singing to your favorite ballads, whether at a live show, in your car or in the privacy of your home is a fun way to put pep in your step throughout the day. There are so many great tunes and catchy lyrics that you can shake your head to, so check out these songs that will give you whiplash:

'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)' by Silentó

When this song was released in 2015, it started a dance craze and plenty of imitation videos. Turn it up next time you’re in a group and check out how your friends whip and nae nae.

'Whip My Hair' by Willow Smith

The lyrics for this number aren’t difficult to learn, most of them consisting of repetitions of “I whip my hair back and forth.” It was young Willow’s first single, released in 2010 shortly before she turned 10 — a big feat for a small singer.

'One Week' by BNL

For quick lyrics that may be difficult to follow on a first listen but fun to learn (and try to keep up with), check out this refrain from 1998. Rife with pop culture references, including to “The X-Files’” Cigarette Smoking Man, filmmaker Akira Kurosawa and anime “Sailor Moon,” this song will delight trivia aficionados and inspire nostalgia in children of the ‘90s. Don’t let the band’s name fool you, as "One Week" is nothing but good, clean fun.

'Jump' by Kris Kross

'Twist & Shout' by The Beatles

The Beatles’ enduring legacy means this ditty is still well-known, and it’s a good thing because it’s fun to sing along with and dance to it. Check out the band performing “Twist & Shout” on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in 1964, complete with shots of screaming fans who look over the moon about witnessing the British invasion.

'Flight of the Bumblebee' by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov

This fast-paced song was written more than 100 years ago for an opera, “The Tale of Tsar Saltan.” Most people are familiar with the tune, which is fun to listen and move to. A local youth orchestra tackles the tune in a video on the Utah Youth Symphony Orchestras and Ensembles channel on YouTube.

'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen
