Helping a family in need
Gretchen G.
"On July 30, we surprised the Stevens/Gifford family with donations from a fundraiser we had secretly done on behalf of their family. Their family has had some extreme struggles the past four years, and I've helped them out the best I could, but it wasn't enough. "So with the help from my friend, Tammie Ynda, we put on a secret fundraiser to help them in any way that we could. Tammy and I donated proceeds from our businesses, and with a lot of love and support with other donations, we were able to make a difference for their family. They are truly grateful and overwhelmed by the love and support that came from those they know and from total strangers. Thank you to everyone who reached out and helped to give this family a hand up."
Free ice cream
Luanne O.
"Today, (Megan Black's) boys (Porter, 11; Miles, 9; and Dax, 7) purchased a variety of ice cream novelties, decorated their family van with 'Free Ice Cream' signs and drove throughout their neighborhood giving it away. They said, 'The whole point of the ice cream van was to have the boys think of others, help make people's day and give service. We need more smiles and sharing in the world!'
"They are an amazing family. The oldest son, Porter, has multiple disabilities. They are an incredible family."
