THE RECOVERY ROOM — Wisdom teeth videos may be a dime a dozen, but this Holladay woman sets herself apart as she hilariously puts the “wisdom” back in “wisdom teeth removal.”
Eighteen-year-old Emma Brain had her wisdom teeth out on July 8. And, as a given in this handheld computer age, Emma’s anesthesia wake up was captured on film at Lone Peak Oral Surgery. I know what you’re thinking: “Been there, seen that all over the internet. Yawn.” But Emma’s recovery gibberish isn’t just gibberish.
What sets Emma apart is that in her cloudy mental state, she tearfully and sincerely gives some amazing, day-boosting advice. Her general advice — as stated ineloquently by me — is as follows:
- Drugs, not even once.
- Wildflowers, all the time.
When Emma saw the video after she regained her normal mental state, she said the sentiments she so emotionally expressed were basically business as usual for her.
“I was laughing so hard at myself,” she said in a message. “It was just completely me being me unfiltered, so it was really funny to watch."
I hope Emma doesn’t mind if I extend her parting wisdom in the video when I say, I wish on this fine day and always that all your souls are filled with the desire to be just as beautiful as wildflowers.
