GOSHEN, Utah County — A woman whose body was found last week died from hypothermia, police said Monday.

Stacy Morrill, 52, a Realtor from the remote Millard County community of Oasis, was found by family members Friday a few hundred yards from U.S. 6. in a mining area near the border of Utah and Juab counties.

Morrill was last seen May 14. Passersby spotted her abandoned vehicle the same evening along Dividend Road.

The medical examiner reported Morrill likely "became hypothermic after leaving her SUV," Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon said.

"Morrill had removed her clothing and there was evidence in the area that showed she had walked aimlessly over a broad area before she died," he said.

Morrill's body was found a few miles east of Eureka, in Juab County, and a short distance west of Goshen. It was about two miles from the abandoned Jeep, which served as the focal point of an extensive search for Morrill last week that included multiple aircraft, K-9 units and horseback crews.

Morrill and her husband had a disagreement before she left home May 14, according to police. The sergeant said before Morrill was found last week that she may have been "experiencing emotional stress."
