OGDEN — Alyson Kulp’s three-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the sixth inning Thursday led the top-seeded Weber State softball team to a 10-2 win over Montana in the second round of the Big Sky Conference tournament in Ogden.
Kulp’s blast to end the game by the mercy rule plated McKinley Brinkerhoff and Carley White after the Wildcats scored four runs on four hits in the sixth.
Pulp finished 2-for-5 for the Wildcats (35-17), and Brinkerhoff was 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a walk for Weber.
Kirtlyn Bohling took the win in the circles for the Wildcats, moving to 18-7 on the season with two strikeouts, two walks and two earned runs in four innings.
The Wildcats will host Idaho State at 2:30 p.m. MT Friday in Ogden.
