MOUSTACHEVILLE — Ah, November. The month when retail stores display their Christmas merchandise all too soon and those serious about Thanksgiving spend the days preceding the third Thursday preparing their stomachs for an eater's Olympics. Turkey, stuffing, rolls — I can almost taste it.

November also marks 30 days where razors across the globe sit lonely on the cold countertop, neglected from lack of use. Movember has become an annual tradition. Not only does the population of mustachioed men increase drastically around this time, but Movember at its core aims to raise money for men's health.

As a way to honor Movember and the spirit of this hairy holiday, Watchcut put together a video exploring men's hairstyles (including facial) in a succinct 90-second super cut.

So much attention is paid to women's fashion, it's refreshing to take a visual journey through men's trends, from the slicked-back coifs of the turn-of-the-century to the overgrown, Dave Grohl-esque grunge locks that were ubiquitous in the '90s. Don't worry. The controversial man bun also makes an appearance.

If you are participating in Movember, consider the cause behind the hair growth. The Movember Foundation encourages men to get involved by growing 'staches and beards as a way to raise awareness for all manner of men's health issues, like depression and male-specific cancers. Their hope is that men involved will be more mindful of their health by getting checkups and evaluating their family's medical history.
