THE JUNGLE — As many of you know, I am terrified of bears. They swim like fish, run like lions and climb like monkeys. There is no escaping bears.

An animal that's never really had the ability to strike fear to my very core is the elephant. They are ginormous and have a mean streak, but they've never spooked me.

With that said, if one was in the wild and decided to charge at me, I think my response would be something along the lines of running for my life and screaming like a small child who just encountered some kind of boogey man. Who am I kidding? Even if I, a grown man, encountered a boogey man. That's scary stuff.

Anyway, while I would weep like the coward I clearly am at a charging pachyderm, the guy in this video played it cool. Almost too cool in fact. This man with nerves of steel spotted an elephant and just stared, then the elephant decided it had enough and charged. What did this guy do? Pulled out his camera and flashed a smile.

I'm no Jack Hanna, but I assume the reason the elephant stopped dead in its tracks is because it couldn't believe how insane this guy was. I mean, the elephant realized he outweighed the comparatively petit fella by at least a pound or two, and this guy just smiled and snapped a photo. If that's this guy's response then who knows what he's really capable of? Like the elephant, I'd rather not find out.

This video was first posted over a year ago but has recently garnered new attention.
