HOLLADAY — A group of more than 120 Olympus High graduates recently returned home from serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a compilation video captured their joyful reunions with their families.
A previous compilation video of the classmates opening their missions calls was posted on YouTube in January 2013. It has since garnered more than 200,000 views.
The Olympus High graduating class of 2012 received their mission calls shortly after LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson announced the lowering of the missionary age requirements during the church's general conference in October 2012. Since that time, the number of applicants for LDS missionary service doubled.
The sequel video was posted Tuesday by Danielle Chard, an Olympus High School graduate who served in the Frankfurt Germany Mission. The video features photos and video clips of many of the classmates returning home after serving 18 months or two years in missions around the world.
