LOGAN — Utah State stayed in the hunt for a berth in the Mountain West Conference championship game with a 28-21 win over New Mexico. The victory marks the fourth win for Aggie true freshman Kent Myers. The Aggies used a balanced rushing attack for 272 yards and took care of the ball in the win.

The first half featured several long TD runs.

Utah State sneaked into halftime with a 21-14 lead after an impressive drive led by freshman quarterback Kent Myers.

The Aggies got on the board midway through the third quarter on an electric JoJo Natson 45-yard run.

UNM cut the lead to 7 with a 59-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter, the first TD throw by a starting Lobo QB this year.

The Aggies used great punting and big fourth-down stops on defense to escape with the victory.
