AUSTRALIA — Wildlife never fails to surprise us, especially when it sounds like a “Star Wars” movie.

Wen Hao Lee posted a YouTube video of a lyrebird showing off its mimicry skills, and it is incredible. During the 90-second video, the bird sounds like a monkey and R2-D2 and also makes a series of laser gun noises akin to the “Star Wars” stormtrooper variety.

The lyrebird is native to Australia and is well-known for its imitation of natural and man-made sounds. During the video, the lyrebird also mimics the kookaburra, another native Australian bird. Due to its complex larynx, the lyrebird can imitate up to 20 different species at a time, according to the Daily Mail.
