SANDY — Former Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, and he took some time to throw the pigskin around with the Alta High School football team.
Favre visited the Salt Lake area to promote Rx Pro, a pain relief cream that considers itself an alternative to painkiller medication. The three-time AP Most Valuable Player posed for photos, signed autographs, threw a few passes to the team and gave them a pep talk before the start of the Utah high school football season this weekend.
The Hawks will host Pleasant Grove on Friday at 7 p.m. to kick off both team's season.
