The second week of college football preseason-award watch list releases began Monday with nominee rosters unveiled for the Butkus and Rotary Lombardi Awards, and BYU's Alani Fua appeared on both lists.

Fua is one of 51 nominees for the Butkus Award, given to the nation's best linebacker, while Fua is joined by teammates Bronson Kaufusi and Remington Peck on the 123-player watch list for the Rotary Lombardi Award, honoring the nation's best offensive/defensive lineman or close-to-the-line linebacker.

Today's nominations bring to nine the number of BYU players on various preseason award watch lists. The coming days will see watch lists unveiled for the Biletnikoff (receiver), Davey O'Brien (quarterback), Doak Walker (running back) and Walter Camp (outstanding player) Awards.
