SALT LAKE CITY — Trey Burke has won the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for the second straight month.

Burke won the award for the first time last month in his first full month of NBA action. Now he has won second in a row, despite his numbers slowing down a bit.

This season he is averaging 12.7 points per game and 5.6 assists per game. Most of those numbers were from his December campaign where he averaged 14.8 points and 5.9 assists per game.

During the month of January his scoring numbers fell slightly to 11.8 points per game, but his assists were up to 6.8 per game. He has also been grabbing 3 rebounds per game during the month.

His best game of the month was in the Jazz's game against the Pistons in Detroit. In that game he scored 20 points and dished out 12 assists as the Jazz beat the Pistons 110-89.
