CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Authorities say 10 people have been charged in Wyoming with conspiring to sell painkillers that had been prescribed to them by a doctor in Casper.

The Casper Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/2imvwbT) the 10 face felony drug charges for delivering painkillers to several Wyoming cities, including in Ethete, Fort Washakie, Lander and Riverton.

Five of the defendants were arraigned Friday in Natrona County District Court. A yearlong probe by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation led to their arrests.

The 10 are accused of obtaining oxycodone and Xanax from Casper doctor Shakeel Kahn.

Kahn and his wife, Lynn Kahn, were arrested in December for allegedly selling prescription painkillers across the country. Their case is pending in federal court.
