BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Prosecutors are seeking to keep the public from viewing some of their legal filings in a bankruptcy fraud case against a former Idaho prosecutor and current candidate for governor. The U.S. attorney has filed five sealed motions in the past week in the case against Frank Bujak, who has denied charges against him.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A subsidiary of a Meridian company once fined by Idaho regulators for misleading investors has filed for bankruptcy. Court filings this month say Hopkins Northwest Fund LLC owes from $1 million to $10 million to between 100 and 200 creditors. The Idaho Statesman reports the fund lists assets in the same $1 million to $10 million range.

AHSAHKA, Idaho (AP) — The Dworshak National Fish Hatchery is being recognized for making improvements that cut its energy use by 30 million kilowatt-hours per year. The Lewiston Tribune reports that the hatchery updated pumps, changed the way fish are incubated and installed new pipes. The resulting energy savings are enough to power 3,000 homes in Clearwater County.

HAILEY, Idaho (AP) — The FAA is awarding a small central Idaho airport an $18 million grant. The Idaho Mountain Express reports the Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey was awarded the money as part of a series of federal grants expected to cover most of the cost of a $34 million construction project. The work is intended to bring the airport up to federal safety standards.
