AMERICAN FORK (AP) — Authorities in Utah say a 22-year-old man faces stolen vehicle, driving under the influence and other charges after leading American Fork police on a 100-mph chase during the weekend.
Police tell the Daily Herald that Coleman Craig was arrested Saturday and booked into the Utah County Jail on a criminal mischief warrant and new charges also including fleeing police, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and failure to obey a traffic control device.
Police say the chase began after an officer tried to stop Craig in a stolen vehicle driving without headlights.
The Daily Herald reports that Craig appeared impaired during field sobriety tests, and submitted a urine sample that tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and opiates.
