KEARNS — A woman who sells inexpensive jewelry for a living is missing about $8,000 of inventory and a trailer after the trailer went missing overnight Sunday.

Ramie Riggs last saw the cargo trailer in which she kept her jewelry, hair accessories and various stands for her pop-up presentations Saturday. She and her husband had set up at 5400 South and Copper City Drive for a yard sale and left the trailer there overnight. Riggs said she has relatives nearby who were keeping an eye on the trailer for her.

Monday morning, her husband received a phone call from her brother-in- law asking if he had picked up the trailer. When Riggs arrived, she found a cut lock on the ground where the trailer had been, she said.

She filed a police report with Unified Police Department, and it is processing the information for investigation.

Riggs said the trailer contained an unusual amount of inventory because she was getting ready for her busy season of fairs and expos.

In an effort to find her trailer, Riggs has posted on classified sites throughout the state hoping someone will recognize the trailer. She describes it as a white 5-foot by 10-foot cargo trailer with broken tail lights held on with tape and a dent in the driver’s side fender. The trailer was also missing the tongue jack near the coupler.

Anyone with information about the trailer theft or its whereabouts can call Unified Police Department at 385-468-9814 in reference to case number 14- 89576.
