OGDEN — A woman is facing felony charges after police say she stole $500,000 from her employer.

Teri Ann Jarvis, 40, was charged Tuesday in 2nd District Court with four counts of theft, a second-degree felony, and eight counts of forgery, a third-degree felony.

According to court documents, Jarvis stole checks while working as a secretary for Positive Power, 4658 W. 1150 South. Many of the checks signed by Jarvis were made out to credit card and car loan companies, as well as to Jarvis herself.

She was arrested and booked into Weber County Jail last week.

Jarvis pleaded guilty in 2001 to issuing a bad check of less than $300, a third-degree felony. In 1991, she pleaded guilty to attempted forgery, a third-degree felony.
