THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff missed practice Wednesday with an illness.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher is still confident Goff will play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
Goff was at the Rams' training complex for team meetings and offensive installation, but went home before workouts. Case Keenum ran the offense in Goff's absence.
Fisher says Goff picked up an unspecified virus that's been going around the team. He says Goff should have no problem being ready to play Sunday for the Rams (4-8), who have lost seven of their last eight games.
Goff was the No. 1 overall pick in the draft earlier this year. He has started the Rams' last three games, throwing three touchdown passes and three interceptions.
